Transform your smile with Implant-Retained Dentures

Boost your self-confidence

Loose-fitting dentures can be distressing. They may restrict you from eating your favourite foods, or inhibit your ability to smile with confidence for fear of your dentures slipping out at an inappropriate moment. At A J Moore & Associates Dental Practice, we are proud to offer implant-retained dentures, a revolutionary treatment that secures your dentures using an artificial titanium root called a ‘dental implant’. Dental implants integrate with your jawbone, ensuring a solid foundation for several, natural-looking, prosthetic teeth.

Acts such as smiling and eating will become simple once again, and your happiness and confidence will be restored. What’s more, Implant-Retained dentures also have a hugely positive effect on your oral health. Where teeth are missing, extra strain can be placed on the remaining teeth, causing damage to your jawbone. Dental implants remedy this problem by strengthening your jawbone and slowing down bone loss.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Implant-Retained Dentures

If you have good general health you are likely suitable for implant-retained dentures. There are very few factors that make treatment unsuitable, though smoking and a history of gum disease have been shown to affect implant treatment success rate.

This depends on how many teeth you have missing. Usually 4-8 dental implants are needed, but this will vary on a case-by-case basis, and is something we will discuss with you at your initial consultation.

You may experience some mild discomfort during treatment, but our dentists always administer a local anesthetic to reduce discomfort. If necessary, we can also offer sedation for our more nervous patients.

You should care for your dentures as you would your normal teeth – clean them twice a day. Use a denture brush for your dentures and a toothbrush for you implants.

Care for them properly – that is, as you would your normal teeth – and they can last a lifetime.

Your Patient Journey

Our staff will evaluate your teeth and assess your needs. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
